"Sarthak is an institution where in children who don't have parents are given residential facility, free of charge. There are about 80 children who are eligible for immunization against Tetanus and Diphtheria and about 15 adolescent girls who are eligible for Rubella vaccination. Our club took the responsibility to carry out the immunisation free of charge. Counselling of the children and of the president and office bearaer of the trust was done. Written consent was taken. On 23rd of October our team comprised of president, rotarian ,anns and medical staff reached the instituation. Trained senior nurse, Mrs. Priyanka from Jahangir Speciality Hospital ,Kothrud administered the injections. Theatre assistant, Mr Jayant from JSH, Kothrud assisted her. Immunisation process was uneventful. Children were observed for 4 hrs. Every body was keeping good health. Follow up was done after 8 days. No delayed complications were noted.
