Our club has been doing Global Grant project with SWaCH. During one of our interactions with SWaCH workers, we realised that there still is lack of awareness amongst citizens of Pune about Sanitary waste disposal, i.e. sanitary napkins, diapers and adult diapers. As waste managers have to open all the packets for segregation, it is hazardous for their health and also derogatory for them. Hence as part of our Anns committee projects for year 2017-18, we decided to take up this awareness campaign in hand. Our Anns, Rotarians reached out to many schools, colleges, corporate offices, beauty parlours, ladies group, etc. We did fifty campaigns and managed to reach to 5500 ladies and talked with them about Red Dot. We also helped District First Lady to organized Red Dot Awareness Rally on 8th March. We distributed pamphlets in exhibitions, on crowded roads, in all the campaigns. It was all out effort done by our club's Anns led by Ann Madhuri Gokhale.
