On 22nd Oct 18, our club celebrated Kojagiri Poornima on "Nawathe Lawns". Anand, Jayashree and entire Nawathe family had decked up the lawn with flowers and Diwali lamps to welcome all the members. The evening started with "Hot masala milk" being served as per tradition. The musical program was "Sitar Vadan" by Nikhil Patwardhan, son-in-law of PP Anil and Ranjana Damle. Nikhil was introduced formally by PP Achyut Gokhale. Nikhil was accompanied by Parth Mukherjee on tabla. Nikhil enthralled the audience with evening ragas on his sitar. The musical rendition lasted for nearly one ++ hour and all members were mesmerized with flawless performance. PP Gauri proposed vote of thanks for Nikhil and Parth. Nawathe family was felicitated by President Rujuta for their hospitality. Evening ended with fellowship dinner, sponsored by Vikas and Kalpana Kakde on their promotion to grand parenthood. Indeed a memorable Kojagiri celebration.
