RID 3131 ,Rotary Peace Award was given to Mr. Yogesh Mathuria at a glittering ceremony held at Saint Jnyaneshwar Hall, MIT- World Peace University,Pune. Mr. Yogesh Mathuria has dedicated his life to serve humanity with wellness and peace over the last 10 years. His entire focus is on serving humanity and spreading the message of peace world over by walking. As of date this 61-Yr-Old has walked about 12,000 Km in India, Sri Lanka & Africa Preaching World Peace. Rotary was honored to give away this “Rotary Peace Award” at the hands of Dr.Vishwanath Karad, President MIT-WPU and RID 3131 District Governor, DG Rotarian Ravee Dhotre . Dr.Milind Pande,Pro Vice Chancellor,MIT-WPU ; Rtn.Dr.Pradeep Wagh,RID 3131 District Director of International Service; Rtn.Anjali RAVETKAR, President RCPS; Rtn Pradeep Dange, District Chair, International Events and Awards were on dias.About 250 delegates attended. The Peace Award Presentation was followed by a PEACE &CONFLICT RESOLUTION WORKSHOP taken by Dr.Milind Pande,Pro VC MIT WPU.This session was also well attended by Rotarians,Rotaractors, Students and other people. The session was very interactive and well received. Rtn.Dr.Pradeep Wagh also gave information about ROTARY PEACE FELLOWSHIPS and ROTARY GLOBAL GRANT SCHOLARSHIPS. The Rotaractors especially showed interest in connecting through ROTARY and ROTARACT clubs of RID 3131 to Rotaract in Nepal and other South Asian countries. The event was organised by INTERNATIONAL SERVICE AVENUE of RID 3131 and hosted by Rotary Club of Pune Shivajinagar. MIT-World Peace University provided all infrastructure and campus facilities for this high profile event.
