Health camp at Sopanrao Baburao Katake Primary School, Baner was organized from 20th to 22nd August for checking weight, height, vision, dental and hemoglobin (excluding small children from 1st and 2nd standard). Total 438 students were examined. Out of 251 students examined for hemoglobin 112 had it below normal level showing high prevalence of anemia. These children were given deworming tablet and were given iron tablets for one month. Those who had hemoglobin below 10 were given iron tablets for two months. Problems related to vision were detected in case of 76 (17%) children and arrangements are being done for giving them further treatment at subsidized cost. Oral hygiene was found to be poor and children will be given orientation for it. President Anjali, Rtn Satish, Rtn Dr. Rao, Dr.Deepa, Dr Shweta (Annet), Rohini, Rtn Gurunath, Nirupama, Rtn Achyut, Rtn Prakash, Rtn Sharad, Dr. Akshara (Annet), Rtn Ashwini, Shreerang (Annet), Anjali, Rtn Manasi, Rtn Vijay, Dr. Shobha Rao and Sayali (Student) actively participated in the project.
