With the support of the energetic team of the modern college, our club members, the youth avenue completed the 4th RYLA of this year covering the topic of “Design Your Career” on 9th September 2015 at Modern College of Arts, Science & Commerce. This RYLA was arranged by our club & the partners were, modern college & MIT. Some colleges from Pune were also invited to attend the RYLA & in response to this invitations, students & Professors from Modern college Of Engineering, Suryadatta Institute, Naralikar institute for design also attended this RYLA. The RYLA was attended by rtn. Rashmi Kulkarni (Parvati Club) The RYLA started with the national anthem & comparing by Rtn. Manoj Fulambrikar for welcoming the dignitaries by the college, speech by Gauri on the Role of Rotary in RYLA & Manoj sharing his thoughts on what is the importance of Design & how is the career in this field. The anchoring role for the RYLA was taken care by the animation & design students of the modern college namely, Miss. Sameera Chauhan & Miss. Priyanka Mahindrakar. After introduction of the dignitaries of the MIT, Prof. Dhimant Panchal, Prof. Ranjana Dani, Prof. Sanjay Jain, Prof. Alana Savant & Prof. Gaurang Shah, they guided the students on various design wings & their importance. The students of the modern college & MIT who had outstanding career in Design were presented the RYLA award. These students are- · Tripti Gaikwad- BSc Animation, second year topper. · Ravina Surwase- Bsc Animation, First year topper · Ashwini Bambale- Fashion technology (dress design & tailoring, course topper. · Ankita pande- UG fourth year Animation Design, 1st in Pune district in std. XII · Devyani Shirole- PG 2nd year User Experience Design(Industrial Design) Will be presenting paper at IIT pawai. · Tanvi Shah- 4th Year BA Fashion Design. It was a skill of Manoj who also appreciated for the hard work, dedication of the Prof. Sameer Nerlekar & Prof. Manasi Thakur of modern College who are taking real efforts to shape the career of raw buddies of the college. While announcing the names of these professors there were cheers by the students. That shows the attachment & respect earned by them from the students. Hats off to these dedicated professors who are a big asset for the college. The awardees students namely Miss. Ashwini Bambale & Devayani shirole spoke on the career in Design & how they achieve the goal. You can see one presentation in the link which displays the dress design made from tissue paper roll by one of the students of modern college & I was lucky to catch the snap of this student with her professor. The faculties of the modern college from Animation & Design department, Prof. Sameer Nerlekar & Prof. Manasi Thakur & the student volunteers of these department made this RYLA a great success. On behalf of the club, Gauri felicitated the dignitaries & Dr. Shubhangi Puranik declared opening of the exhibition which displayed the performances of the students of Modern College & MIT in product designing. Many students from other colleges also visited this exhibition. The RYLA was attended by more than 300 students & the credit for the susses of this RYLA, undoubtedly goes to none other than Rtn. Manoj Fulambrikar who was the key person in arranging the dignitaries. More than 750 students visited this exibition.
